BLACK CORVETTE
This 1967 Corvette Roadster was originally delivered through the famous Gorries Chevrolet dealership in Toronto, Canada, which was long associated with some of the most formidable performance cars of the era. According to reports, its first owner was a City of Toronto police officer, adding an intriguing layer of provenance to an already exceptional example.
Documented by GM of Canada, this Corvette left the factory equipped with the 427 cubic-inch L71 big block, rated at 435 horsepower and featuring the iconic Tri-Power induction system and solid lifters. Performance oriented options included factory side exhaust, F41 special suspension, redline tires, and a 3.70:1 Positraction rear axle. The standard black interior was further enhanced by power windows and the rare headrest option.
Originally finished in Rally Red, the car underwent an amateur restoration in the early 1990s. Today, it is the subject of a comprehensive, no-expense-spared restoration at Vancouver Classic Cars Ltd. The work is being carried out to exacting standards, with the goal of returning this Corvette to its as-delivered condition. Completion is anticipated in 2028.
